How we support entrepreneurs:

Ideation:

Drop your idea into the TUII Idea Bank and our staff will introduce you to the right resources to help turn your idea into a business.

Webinars:

Join TUII’s expert guests as they walk us through concepts ranging from startup marketing to business legal structure to the finer points of IP protection and fundraising. Free and open to the public, these educational hours are also a great opportunity to meet with individuals at Tulane and in New Orleans who are also interested in innovation. Mentorship:

The Green Wave Innovation Network (GWIN) allows you to meet with a mentor to gain free expert advice at any stage of your entrepreneurial journey. We have subject matter experts in most fields and functional business expertise in all areas.

Competitions:

Participate in pitch competitions to expose your startup to a wide audience of investors and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Cash prizes are a great way to access capital for an early-stage startup. Follow us on Instagram and LinkedIn for the latest competition announcements.

Faculty Grants:

TUII is seeking proposals from Tulane University Faculty to incorporate innovation and entrepreneurship activities and lessons into their curriculum. The goal is to help students develop an innovative mindset and prepare them to embark on future entrepreneurial journeys. TUII will award up to 10 individual grants for $2,500 each. Are you a student? Stay tuned to find out what Tulane courses will offer entrepreneurship in their curriculum.

Venture Funding:

Apply to be considered for an investment from Tulane Ventures.

Startup Clinic (Coming Soon):

The Tulane University Startup Clinic is a joint program between the Innovation Institute and relevant academic units at Tulane. Faculty and student volunteers will assist founders with business planning and administrative topics necessary to launch and grow a company.
