Open Medical Innovation Challenge (OPEN MIC) night is a partnership between the Tulane Innovation Institute and Tulane’s School of Medicine, John W. Deming Department of Medicine. We are looking for applicants with innovative ideas for addressing human health and wellness challenges. This event is hosted twice a year. The Spring 2026 event will take place during the Tulane Research, Innovation, and Creativity Summit.

TRICS 2026

TULANE RESEARCH, INNOVATION, AND CREATIVITY SUMMIT
APRIL 14-16, 2026 

The 4th annual Tulane Research, Innovation, and Creativity Summit (TRICS) will be held on Tulane University’s uptown campus in the Devlin Fieldhouse. The event will showcase the breadth and depth of research, innovation, and creativity from disciplines, departments, units, and schools across Tulane University. Graduate students, undergraduate students, trainees (postdocs, residents, and fellows), faculty, and research staff will present their research, scholarship, and achievements. TRICS will also include networking events, posters, pitch competitions, and presentations.
