Elizabeth Bruening

Elizabeth joins the Innovation Institute with a background in project management and conference services. She previously served as the Manager of Conference Services & Marketing Operations at Millsaps College and has extensive experience in the service industry. 

A proud Mississippian, Elizabeth also has entrepreneurial experience. In 2020, she launched a cooperative bakery in Jackson, Mississippi, with a group of friends, specializing in sourdough breads and pastries made exclusively with stone-milled flour grown in the South and prioritizing nutrition and affordability through a pay-what-you-can pricing structure. 

As the Program Manager for Commercialization, Elizabeth will manage the new Innovate Louisiana 2027. She is excited to bring her skills and experience to the Innovation Institute.
