Biography

Jeffrey Silverman is an accomplished entrepreneur, angel investor, and venture capitalist with over 20 years of experience building and investing in early-stage technology companies. He is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Laconia, a venture capital firm that invests in a broad range of sectors, including enterprise SaaS, fintech, health & wellness tech, e-commerce, martech, and web 3. In addition to his role at Laconia, Jeffrey is also a Co-Founder of 3SE Holdings, a fund of funds that invests in Web 3 infrastructure, and Proteus Collection, a private partnership focused on collecting a diversified art portfolio of works by emerging artists.

Jeffrey's extensive experience in business management, strategic planning, business development, operations, sales, and marketing makes him a valuable asset to the portfolio companies he guides on sales acceleration, operational execution, and capital strategy at Laconia. He currently serves as a board member at Propensity and observer at Marpipe, Merri and Tender.

Jeffrey is passionate about mentoring early-stage startups and the next generation of leaders. He dedicates his time to mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs through Laconia's weekly open office hours and actively involves himself in mentorship & stewardship as Chairman of Civics Unplugged, Friends of the Lake, Tulane University's Innovation Institute TIE Council and as a Project Morry Board Member. Jeffrey holds a BA in history from Tulane University and completed Columbia University's Executive Education Program.
