Biography
Cathy Isaacson has spent the last decade focused on smart investment in developing or low-income communities. She is Chair of the Middle East Investment Initiative, which delivers innovative finance and technical assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises throughout the Middle East, as well as on the boards of Idea Village, a startup accelerator operating in New Orleans and the Gulf South; the Greater New Orleans Foundation and the Link Stryjewski Foundation. She has been a regional judge for the White House Fellows, a member of the Bezos Scholars Selection Committee and on the boards of the New York Women’s Foundation, Maret School and the Washington Area Women’s Foundation.
She worked for over 20 years as an attorney in private practice at.Hemenway& Barnes in Boston; Casey, Haythe & Krugman in New York; and Wright, Manning, Rips & Maloney in New York. Her areas of specialty included corporate transactions, business contracts, corporate and partnership formation, securities law and employment law.
She received her BA from Smith College and JD from Boston University School of Law.
