Sal is Co-Founder and CEO of Aureus Earth a carbon finance company dedicated to accelerating the path to a decarbonized built environment by creating impactful financial products and technology. Aureus Earth is redefining carbon finance for the built environment – by creating value for carbon reduction and storage that provides returns for ESG-minded investors.  
Sal has helped author 4 patents and 2 protocols on the quantification, securitization, valuation, management, and assurance of carbon storage and reduction in the built environment.  Aureus Earth is part of the Rocky Mountain Institute's Third Derivative climate-tech ecosystem.
 
Sal has held previous leadership roles at Oliver Wyman, Mercer, and Accenture. He earned his B.B.A. in Business Administration from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, and an M.B.A. in Finance from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Sal served as an Officer in the US Army.
