Kim Tuleu

Biography

Kim Tuleu founded TULEU Consulting Company in 2001 with her husband Jean-Marc Tuleu. The company, based in Metairie Louisiana, was the official John Deere distributor for West and Central Africa and the French West Indies up until 2023 when the overseas business activity was sold to a third-party John Deere dealer. As Secretary/Treasurer of Tuleu Consulting for 22 years, Kim oversaw all operational and financial aspects of the company’s business activity both domestically and internationally. Tuleu Consulting was awarded the President’s “E” Award by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce in 2015 for exemplary efforts to increase U.S. exports.

Before starting Tuleu Consulting Company, Kim worked as a corporate communications consultant in Los Angeles and Washington D.C. for several companies including Oracle, Fannie Mae and MCI. Prior to this she worked for the Democratic National Committee at their headquarters in Washington D.C. on constituency outreach.

In addition to mentoring female entrepreneurs based in the New Orleans area, Kim is currently a CASA for Jefferson Parish and also supports several other local charities including Second Harvest, Grace at the Greenlight, Planned Parenthood-Gulf Coast and ACLU of Louisiana. Kim has also previously served as Treasurer of the Alliance Française in New Orleans.
