Allyson Mackay Dombey

Allyson is a dynamic leader with a passion for solving complex problems at the crossroads of information, technology, and people. She is an inquisitive and creative information scientist, with over 15 years of experience and a diverse background in sociology, public health, product innovation, technology services & software development, agile coaching, and design thinking. Allyson loves to foster accessible and inclusive environments that couple experimentation with collaboration.

In 2021, Allyson embraced her entrepreneurial side, joining GlassblowerBen as its first ever CEO. She is leveraging her broad set of skills to streamline hand-blown, luxury glass products and create space for future innovation and greater opportunities for glass in the New Orleans community. Allyson also works as a consultant for technology companies solving complex problems and implementing systems change.

Allyson resides in New Orleans with her husband, Ben Dombey, and their two dogs, Pickles and Gypsy. She is a graduate of Tulane University (BA-Sociology & French), Liverpool John Moores University (MSc - Public Health), University of Michigan (MSI - Information Analysis & Retrieval; Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics).
