Biography
Ali is a multi-disciplinary scientist and entrepreneur who's research has led to commercialization of various new technologies. Currently, he leads the Mental Performance Program at the Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI). Prior to GSSI, Ali was a tenured associate professor at Clarkson University where his research was focused on identifying feelings of energy and fatigue as two distinct unipolar moods using a multi-disciplinary approach. Ali received his BA and MA from Tulane University in International Political Economics, a MEd in Applied Physiology from the University of New Orleans, a PhD in Applied Physiology from Oklahoma State University, and he completed his post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Georgia in exercise/cognitive psychology. He is currently pursuing a MS in Artificial Intelligence at Johns Hopkins University. Ali has 65+ peer reviewed publications, 125+ peer-reviewed conference presentations, 2 patents, 3 book chapters, and he has been invited to give 20+ national and international talks. His work has been funded by federal, state and industry grants.
