Do you have a great idea that solves a human health and wellness challenge?

The Tulane University Innovation Institute (TUII), in partnership with the Deming Department of Medicine and Senior VP and Dean of the School of Medicine, are pleased to announce the 3rd Open MIC (Medical Innovation Challenge) Night and welcome you to apply!

Have you ever had a good idea pop up from dealing with a challenge but didn’t know where to take it next? Open MIC Night offers participants a chance to pitch idea-stage concepts that could solve human health and wellness challenges. This can include a spectrum of ideas from medical innovations to tools that support social-emotional wellbeing and beyond.

EVENT DATE: Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 5:30 - 8 pm

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: 

Faculty, staff, undergraduate, graduate, medical and PhD students, postdocs, residents, fellows, and Tulane alumni that have graduated within the past two years.

WHY SHOULD YOU PARTICIPATE? 

Winners will be awarded an initial $500 for further idea development, followed by access to 1:1 business idea mentorship for refining, and a second chance to pitch to win an additional $2,000. 

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT IDEA: Friday, April 5, 2024

FORMAT: Selected participants will have three minutes to pitch to a panel of expert judges with 1 presentation.
