Jeff Myers

Jeff/Dr. Myers is an experienced biotech executive working with both start-ups and larger companies. As Chief Medical Officer at Portola Pharmaceuticals, he was instrumental in the acquisition by Alexion. As employee #4 at Revolo, he developed the clinical development strategy and regulatory plan, resulting in FDA approval of their first trial in eosinophilic esophagitis. Before that, he served as the Chief of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at Tulane and the Massachusetts General Hospital, with faculty appointments at both Tulane and Harvard Medical Schools.

Dr. Myers is working with James E Zadina, PhD, Tulane Professor of Medicine, Pharmacology & Neuroscience, who has developed a new class of peptide-based drugs that target the mu-opioid receptor (MOR) with reduced side-effects for treating acute and chronic pain.
