Create a business in one weekend at the Tulane Innovation Institute Startup Sprint!
January 31-February 2, 2025
Imagine starting your own business in one weekend! The Tulane University Innovation Institute invites the community to participate in its first-ever Startup Sprint. This three-day event provides aspiring entrepreneurs the tools and guidance they need to bring a business idea to life.
Scheduled for January 31 through February 2, 2025, at Tulane University’s Lavin-Bernick Center, Startup Sprint will offer networking opportunities and a collaborative environment to help participants learn how to brainstorm, prototype, and refine a business idea as a team. At the end of the event, a cash prize awaits the top pitch.
The Startup Sprint welcomes participants from all backgrounds and experience levels—no prior entrepreneurial experience is necessary. Through interactive sessions, attendees will form teams around promising ideas and work alongside mentors to develop a concept over the weekend. On the event's final day, teams will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges, competing to win the grand prize.
“This event is an exciting opportunity for anyone curious about the startup world, whether you’re an experienced entrepreneur or simply been thinking you are ready to start your own business,” said Sharon Goldsmith, Executive Director of Innovation & Entrepreneurship Programs at the Tulane Innovation Institute. “Startup Sprint will provide hands-on experience in a supportive and fun setting.”
For a $20 registration fee, attendees will receive meals, snacks, and a Startup Sprint tote bag. However, participants must commit to the whole weekend to ensure their team's success.
