The Tulane University Innovation Institute is on the hunt for the next BIG idea at Tulane University! Do you know how to make sno-balls faster, fill potholes so they stay fixed forever, or even a design for wearable technology that shows you music festival lineups? We are looking for bold and bright ideas for this fast and fun business pitch competition. Start thinking about your innovation, and you can compete to win prize money and mentorship from the Tulane Innovation Institute.

$50K DEMO DAY
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26, 2025
Tulane University, Uptown
Our biggest pitch competition of the year— $50K DEMO DAY! Aspiring entrepreneurs will have a chance to win startup funding. The contest offers a $25,000 top prize, with second- and third-place awards of $15,000 and $10,000 each. To apply, startup founders must submit a short video pitching their venture ideas.
The contest is open to Tulane students, faculty and staff, and anyone in the greater New Orleans area who has engaged with programming through Tulane’s Innovation Institute, the Albert Lepage Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, or the Phyllis M. Taylor Center for Social Innovation and Design Thinking. TIP! If you attend one of the Tulane Innovation Institute webinars, you are eligible to apply.

OPEN MIC (MEDICAL INNOVATION CHALLENGE) NIGHT

The Tulane University Innovation Institute, in partnership with Tulane’s School of Medicine, John W. Deming Department of Medicine, will host the 5th Open MIC Night. Participants will pitch their innovative ideas for addressing a range of medical and wellness challenges, and a panel of judges, recognizing the potential impact of each proposal, will evaluate the feasibility and impact of each proposal. Start thinking about your BIG idea!
