Tulane Innovation Institute Celebrates FY25 with Impact and Success Stories

Tulane Innovation Impact Report

August 27, 2025

The Tulane Innovation Institute, a “startup for startups,” has released its FY25 Impact Report, highlighting a year of measurable growth, program expansion, and recognition for its contributions to the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Founded in 2022 under the leadership of President Michael A. Fitts and with a lead gift from Robert L. Priddy, the Institute has quickly established itself as a hub for innovators and entrepreneurs in New Orleans. In FY25, the Institute’s work earned national recognition when it received the 2024 Outstanding Emerging Entrepreneurship Center Award from the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers (GCEC). The award honors university-based centers established within the last five years that demonstrate early success through innovation metrics, community engagement, and measurable impact.

The Institute’s 22-member team implemented 14 programs in FY25, building a strong pipeline of ideas and supporting entrepreneurs as they moved toward partnerships and investment readiness. To expand its capabilities, the Institute added a Business Development Manager to market Tulane technologies to industry partners and a Program Director to lead the newly launched Founder Lab, which connects experienced startup CEOs with faculty researchers to accelerate commercialization.

The FY25 Impact Report showcases the progress of the community—students, faculty, and local entrepreneurs alike—who are transforming ideas into solutions with tangible, real-world impact.

The FY25 Impact Report is available digitally, with print editions to be distributed at upcoming events. Looking ahead, the Institute anticipates FY26 will bring new opportunities, partnerships, and continued innovation for Tulane’s entrepreneurial community.
