Biography
Alexei Mlodinow, MD, MBA, is a serial entrepreneur, surgeon, and Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree recognized for his impact at the intersection of medicine and innovation. He co-founded Surgical Innovation Associates (acquired by Integra LifeSciences) and RapidRona (acquired by Diversified Medical Healthcare) and has advised and invested in multiple medtech ventures. Alexei recently completed his surgical residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where he also earned his MD and MBA. He now serves as a venture partner, strategic advisor, and board member across healthtech startups and investment firms, helping translate breakthrough medical technologies into patient and market impact.
Mlodinow will work with J. Quincy Brown, associate professor of biomedical engineering at Tulane’s School of Science and Engineering, on an automated positioning system for an advanced structured illumination microscopy (SIM) system to maximize prostatectomy surgical margins in prostate cancer patients.
